Committee structure and membership

The function of the committee system is to allow for a more detailed discussion of the work of the governing body. The Committees meet prior to each full governing body meeting and then report back to the full governing body.

The membership of each committee and their responsiblities are detailed below:

Resources Committee:

Members: Barbara Tyldesley(Chair); Michael Brawley; Ros Morton; Jo Ward; Danny Ponton; Pam Bone.

Responsible for staffing, finance, property management, health and safety, pay reviews.

Teaching and Learning Committee:

Members: Martin Hodgkinson (Chair); Diana Johnson; Jo Ward; Michael Brawley; Makeda Reid; Sidney Mutteto.

Responsible for teaching and learning matters including pupil target setting, standards and achievement, monitoring teaching and learning and curriculum provision.

Pupil Support Committee:

Members: Makeda Reid (Chair); Ann Jones-Bishop; Michael Brawley; Barbara Tyldesley; Martin Hodgkinson.

Responsible for SEN, extended schools agenda, behaviour management, attendance, extra-curricular activities, race equality and other partnerships resulting from development of Children's services.

Performance Management Committee:

Members: Ros Morton (Chair); Danny Ponton; Michael Brawley; Barbara Tyldesley.

Responsible for agreeing, monitoring and reviewing management objectives.
