Breed: Goldendoodle
Role: School Companion & Life Skills Helper
Owner: Mr. License
A Natural ProfessionalDougie is a very special member of our school team. A friendly Goldendoodle with a gentle soul, he has been part of school life since he was just 12 weeks old. This is his second school posting, meaning he is a seasoned veteran who is completely at home in the classroom environment.
When he isn’t "on duty," Dougie lives with Mr. License and his two young children. This means he is naturally patient, well-socialised, and used to the hustle and bustle of family life—qualities he brings into school every single day.
Dougie is based in Mr. License’s office, which serves as his quiet "den." His day is carefully balanced to ensure he stays happy and healthy:
Rest & Recharge: Dougie has plenty of scheduled rest periods between working with groups to ensure he never gets overtired.
Daily Walks: He enjoys several walks throughout the day, ensuring he gets fresh air and exercise.
Hands-on Care: Dougie’s daily needs are met with the help of our pupils, providing them with a unique learning experience.
One of the biggest benefits of having Dougie at school is the opportunity for children to learn Animal Care and Responsibility. Under supervision, our pupils help attend to Dougie’s daily needs, including:
Feeding and Hydration: Ensuring he has fresh water and his scheduled meals.
Exercise and Play: Engaging in supervised play sessions that build a bond of trust.
Daily Routine: Helping take Dougie to the toilet and learning the importance of a consistent routine for a pet's well-being.
By caring for Dougie, students develop empathy, kindness, and practical life skills that they can carry with them forever.

What about allergies? > As a Goldendoodle, Dougie has a hypoallergenic, low-shedding coat, making him a great choice for a school environment. Interaction is always optional, and we respect the needs of students with allergies.
Does Dougie enjoy being in school? > Absolutely! Dougie loves the attention and the routine. His welfare is our priority; he has a quiet space in Mr. License's office to nap, and he is always happy to see the children for his walks and play sessions.
