Spring Bank Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all adults working in our school, whether staff or volunteers, to share this commitment.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. All posts involving direct contact with children are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. However, amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’. These are not subject to disclosure to employers and cannot be taken into account. Guidance and criteria from the Ministry of Justice on the filtering of these cautions and convictions can be found here. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that are not filtered prior to the date of the interview. You may be asked for further information about your criminal history during the recruitment process. Please see the flowchart at the bottom of the page. If your application is successful, this self-disclosure information will be checked against information from the Disclosure & Barring Service before your appointment is confirmed. Further information about filtering offences can be found in the DBS filtering guidance.

Class Teacher Opportunity

Spring Bank Primary School are seeking a permanent Class Teacher in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 for a September 2024 start. The ideal candidate would be a strong classroom practitioner, who shares our ethos and values, and has good experience in either KS1 or KS2. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in either Key Stage. This vacancy is not suitable for candidates who will be in their first year of teaching. 

We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic teacher to join our friendly and aspirational school. The successful applicant will have a patient and positive approach to managing children’s behaviour and wellbeing, along with a strong understanding of how children learn. We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience.

Spring Bank Primary School are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our strong school team and support teaching and learning. This is a permanent, term-time only appointment.
