Spring Bank Primary takes part in the Operation Encompass programme, which is involves a partnership between schools and local police forces. This initiative focusses on safeguarding children who may have been exposed to domestic abuse. The programme involves a partnership between schools and local police forces. This involves the police informing the school's safeguarding lead when a child has been present or involved in a domestic abuse incident. This allows our school staff to provide appropriate support and understanding to the child, helping them through any difficulties that may arise due to the situation and providing a supportive and nurturing environment for children who offer them a safe space to discuss their feelings and concerns, and ensuring they receive the necessary support to help them cope with any distress they may be experiencing.
At Spring Bank Primary School we have
- A safeguarding and Child Protection Policy reviewed annually
- Trained designated Safeguarding Lead staff
- A Named governor responsible for Safeguarding and Child Protection
- A well-trained staff team
- Positive working relationships with staff from other agencies and our local cluster
If you see something outside school which makes you worried about a child's safety, you should report it.
